It all begins with an idea.
Bhava started as a far fetched idea as I was sitting behind my desk at my corporate job. Between emails and meetings, I’d daydream about opening a salon. But how? And surely not in the middle of a global pandemic right?
Working as a makeup artist after college allowed me to get a taste of the beauty industry. I loved helping people feel confident and the opportunity it provided to truly be creative. However, I decided to take the corporate route and put my business degree to use working in Marketing and Human Resources for eight years.
Eventually, I felt the itch to go back and follow my passion. I left the unfulfilling 9-5, went back to school, and opened Bhava’s doors in September 2020. Bhava merged with elan MED SPA in 2025 to create the ultimate beauty, wellness, and aesthetics spa in Northwest Indiana.
I’m Jordan Martin. Former owner of Bhava Beauty and now Co-Owner of elan MED SPA, licensed esthetician, and certified microblading artist.
